Truck Dispatcher

About the Role

Apex Transport operates a fleet of 60 OTR dry van trucks across the Southeast and Midwest. We are looking for an experienced dispatcher who can hit the ground running, manage driver relationships, and keep trucks loaded and moving profitably.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch 15–20 OTR drivers on daily and multi-day routes
• Source loads via DAT, Truckstop, and direct broker relationships
• Track and update all shipments in our TMS in real-time
• Communicate proactively with drivers regarding delays, breakdowns, and route changes
• Coordinate with operations team on fuel advances and settlements

Requirements

• ✓2+ years of OTR dispatching experience
• ✓Hands-on experience with load boards (DAT, Truckstop)
• ✓Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
• ✓Strong multitasking and communication skills
• ✓Available for rotating on-call weekends
