Senior Freight Dispatcher

About the Role

Echo Logistics is a fast-growing freight brokerage seeking a Senior Freight Dispatcher to manage a dedicated fleet of 25+ owner-operators across key Midwest-to-West Coast lanes. You will own daily load planning, carrier communication, and rate negotiation while mentoring junior dispatchers.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate 25+ owner-operators daily across assigned lanes
• Negotiate rates with carriers and brokers to maximize load margins
• Monitor shipments in real-time and resolve service failures proactively
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with top-performing carriers
• Mentor junior dispatchers and conduct weekly performance reviews
• Analyze lane data and recommend adjustments to improve efficiency

Requirements

• ✓4+ years of freight dispatching or brokerage experience
• ✓Proficiency with a major TMS (McLeod, TMW, or similar)
• ✓Strong understanding of HOS regulations and FMCSA compliance
• ✓Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
• ✓Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
