Load Planner

About the Role

Crossroads Carriers, one of the largest flatbed carriers in the Southeast, is looking for a detail-oriented Load Planner to optimize load assignments across our 120-truck network. You will work closely with dispatchers, drivers, and customers to maximize asset utilization and minimize empty miles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign loads to maximize network efficiency and minimize deadhead
• Balance driver hours of service, home time, and equipment needs
• Coordinate with dispatch team to execute daily load plans
• Monitor and adjust plans in real-time based on delays or cancellations
• Prepare weekly reports on empty mile percentage and on-time performance

Requirements

• ✓3+ years of load planning or dispatch experience in an asset-based carrier
• ✓Experience with TMW Suite or similar enterprise TMS
• ✓Strong analytical skills and comfort with Excel/data tools
• ✓Knowledge of flatbed freight requirements and regulations
• ✓Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends
