Dispatcher & Trainer

About the Role

Meridian Logistics Group is building a world-class dispatch training program and needs an experienced Dispatcher & Trainer to design SOPs, onboard new hires, and maintain training materials. You will split your time between active dispatching and developing the next generation of dispatch talent.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive dispatch SOPs and training curriculum
• Onboard and train all new dispatcher hires over their first 90 days
• Conduct regular refresher training sessions and skills assessments
• Act as an active dispatcher on a 10-driver desk to stay operationally current
• Collaborate with management on identifying skill gaps across the dispatch team

Requirements

• ✓6+ years of dispatching experience across multiple freight modes
• ✓Prior experience training or mentoring other dispatchers
• ✓Excellent written communication for creating training documentation
• ✓Patient, methodical teaching approach
• ✓Proficiency with at least two major TMS platforms
